A brand built on
selling nothing.
Jeff Journey spent thirty years leading technology from the inside — IT manager, systems engineer, executive advisor. Now he’s a fractional CIO who earns nothing on the hardware, licensing, or platforms he recommends. The hard part was making a website say “independent” loud enough to believe. His old clunky GoDaddy template didn’t. We built one that does.
How do you sell trust when you sell nothing else?
A fractional CIO’s entire value is independence — he profits from none of what he recommends. That’s rare and worth a lot, but it’s abstract. The brand had to make it obvious, credible, and impossible to mistake for the vendors he isn’t.
A point of view, made visible.
Positioning first, then an identity and a site engineered to carry it — fast, distinctive, and unmistakably independent.
A brand built on one idea
We built the whole identity around a single line: “He doesn’t sell you anything. That is the entire point.” The voice, the layout, and the one CTA all exist to serve it.
Independent — not another vendor
An elegant serif over a deep, calm navy with a single gold accent. Premium and advisory on purpose — deliberately unlike the loud, logo-soup look of the vendors Jeff pointedly isn’t.
Rebuilt from a clunky template
The old site was an off-the-shelf GoDaddy build. We rebuilt it by hand on a global edge network — 99 on mobile, zero layout shift, and structured so AI search can read and cite it.
Built to back up the referrals
Clean, crawlable content built around fractional CIO and independent technology advisory, so the site earns its keep next to the word-of-mouth Jeff already has.
Independent — and instant.
A distinctive brand on a foundation that loads in under two seconds and gets read by machines as easily as by people.
